Venue Description
Our parish, Blessed Junipero Serra, commonly known as
Padre Serra, was named after Father Junipero Serra. Father Serra, a Franciscan
Friar from the Spanish island of Majorca, brought to our shores his motto which
became our Parish Motto: Siempre Adelante, which means “Always Forward.” Father
Serra established 21 missions along the seven hundred miles of the El Camino
Real, from San Diego to Sonoma; including San Buenaventura mission fifteen
miles to our north.
Accommodations
At Padre Serra Parish, the first thing we encounter as we
approach the church is the magnificent courtyard. This initial gathering space
makes visible the significance of coming together as a people for
worship. Our courtyard is a place of welcome, a place of transition, a
place for meeting others who have come for a common purpose.
Marriage is a permanent commitment to a partnership of life,
one which requires careful thought, much prayer, and intense preparation. The
first step in the process is to read Marriage Requirements of Padre Serra
Parish and then, contact Teresa Runyon in our parish office for more
information482-6417 x122,
teresarunyon@padreserra.org.
Wedding times include Saturday at 10:00 am, 12 noon, or 2:00pm and Friday afternoons or evenings. NO Sunday weddings

Reviews & Testimonials
I had my wedding and reception here. The church is gorgeous
and the reception facility is really new/equipped. The only problem I had
was that the bridal room was kind of small for my large wedding party!! Other
than that, the wedding was beautiful and the reception went off with out a
hitch! =)
